Warren Collier was born in Fremont, California and went to Mission San Jose High School. He studied Psychology at Santa Clara University and graduated the class of 2004. Warren also received his teaching credential from SCU in 2007. Warren started teaching at Gunn in 2009 and currently lives in Sunnyvale.

John Hébert has been teaching at Gunn since 1999 in the Social Studies Department. He teaches AP Psychology, as well as Contemporary World History and U.S. Government. Prior to coming to Gunn, he received his Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Arizona and taught for a number of years at Colorado State University, as well as many years’ experience at a research institute and in consulting.

Chris grew up in the San Jose area and is a 5th generation native Northern Californian, who lives and breathes history. Graduated with a BA in History from UC Davis in 1996 and started teaching in 1998. He has also spent about 20 years as a Living Historian, recreating and experiencing the life of everything from a Union soldier in the Civil War, Prospector in the California Gold Fields of the 1850's, to a US Infantryman during the campaigns of WWII.

Phil Lyons has been a member of the Gunn Social Studies Department since 2000. He teaches AP Economics, Contemporary World, and U.S. Government. Mr. Lyons received his BA in History from UCLA in 1995. He started his teaching career at Lincloln High School and then Lowell High School in San Francisco.

I graduated from Pinole Valley High School in 1986. I went to the University of Southern California and earned a BA in International Relations with a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies in 1990. My teaching Credentials in Social Studies, Spanish and Home Economics were earned at Mills College in 1992 and also an MA in Education in 1994. I started teaching at Logan High School in Union City. I have been at Gunn since 1997.
